New jobs are set to be created over the next few months.
A major multi-national Pharma firm is being lined up to move into a soon to be vacated IDA premise in Offaly.
Sterilisation company Steris will take over from Cardinal Health at the IDA Industrial Park in Tullamore.
The sale is expected to close by June with the promise of new jobs being created.
Steris already operates a facility in the IDA Business and Technology Park in Tullamore.
Independent TD for Offaly, Carol Nolan is welcoming the news saying:
"it is vital that the site remains in active industrial use to further strengthen Tullamore as a hub for med-tech and life sciences in the Midlands."
Adding: "it is very positive news for the town, for Offaly and for the hundreds of families who rely on quality manufacturing jobs in our community.”
