Planning Granted For Westmeath Hotel Expansion

The owners are bidding to demolish an existing two-storey building.

Planning permission is being granted for the expansion of a Westmeath hotel.  

The owners of the Shamrock Lodge Hotel have submitted plans including demolition works, new extensions, and modifications to the existing hotel’s elevations. 

The owners are bidding to demolish an existing two-storey building currently comprising of toilets, bar storage, and offices at ground level, with derelict accommodation above.  

Permission was also granted for the construction of a new single-storey entrance and an extended bar area to the front of the hotel, a new single-storey side extension comprising the enlargement of the existing function room and new toilet facilities. 

Planning is being approved by Westmeath County Council subject to 10 conditions.
