A new solar farm could be on the way for Offaly.
Planning has been submitted by ENGIE Developments Ireland Limited for a site in Clara to construct around 38,000 panels.
Other site works include a substation, three transformer units, and underground cabling.
A decision on the proposal is due from Offaly County Council in early October.
