Almost 200 houses could be given the green light by Westmeath County Council.
A massive housing development could be on the way to the midlands soon.
Marina Quarter Limited is seeking planning permission for the construction of 181 residential units in Rathgowan, Mullingar.
If given the green light, the project will also include the provision of three ESB substations and the under-grounding of overhead electricity lines.
It's part of a larger three phase residential development in the area.
A decision from Westmeath County Council is due by the 18th of October.
