The local authority is due to make a decision by March 16th.
A sizeable new housing development could be on the way to Laois soon.
JC Brenco Developments is seeking planning permission for 99 homes in Rahin, near Ballylinan.
The submission includes plans for an array of houses, the majority of which would be three-bed, two-storey dwellings.
The developer is also seeking planning permission for the construction of a new créche in the area, and 18 parking spaces to go with it.
A decision from Laois County Council is due by the 16th of March this year.
