Portiuncula Hospital Warns Of Disruption During Building Works

One of the hospital's departments is being relocated as a result.

Portiuncula University Hospital is advising patients of some disruption over the coming weeks as building works are carried out.

In a statement to Midlands 103, hospital management says the Outpatient Department is being relocated as part of the necessary works.

As a result, there will be reduced capacity in the outpatient waiting area for the next number of weeks.

The hospital is asking patients to attend for their appointment alone where possible. Only patients who require assistance should be accompanied.

James Keane, Hospital Manager at PUH, is apologising for the inconvenience caused;

"I regret the disruption to patients caused during the renovations but this work is vital to improving facilities, providing additional single room accommodation and additional beds. I want to thank the public for their patience and understanding during this work."
