A potential coalition partner for Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil involving Midlands TDs is still waiting to formally receive the framework document agreed between the parties.
Roscommon-Galway TD Denis Naughten is head of a the Regional Technical Group, including Kildare-South TD Cathal Berry and Aontu leader Peadar Tóibín, who have been involved in government formation talks.
The document contains skeleton plans to move to a single tier health service, a new Green Deal for the environment, along with a new unit in government to examine a united Ireland.
Deputy Naughten says they had expected to receive the document earlier in the week, but will take the weekend to examine it further:
