Primary Schools Urged To Improve Lunch Facilities As Day Structure Review Looms

The Oireachtas Committee raised concerns over student overload and called for regular 15 minute breaks.

There’s a call for better infrastructure in primary schools, to improve students' lunch experience.

It comes ahead of plans to review the classroom day, with suggestions being made around longer lunch periods, and the possibility of different finishing times.

Earlier this year the Oireachtas Education Committee raised concerns about students being ‘overloaded’ with information, and it recommended regular 15 minute breaks.
