The local authority received 20 submissions detailed concerns about the development.
Plans for a massive housing development in the midlands have been appealed to An Bord Pleanála.
Marina Quarter Limited had initially been granted planning permission for 195 new homes in Portlaoise.
The plans, which were given the green light by Laois County Council earlier this year, would see a huge new housing development brought to the Dublin Road in Ballyroan.
The proposal includes the demolition and site clearance of a disused farm, and four existing buildings in the area, and the construction of a new creche.
The local authority received 20 submissions to the planning application, most of which raised concerns the project would impede the privacy of nearby residents, and impact existing traffic levels.
The proposal has been appealed to An Bord Pleanála by three submissions, and a decision on the future of the project is due to be decided by the 26th of March.
