Enterprise Ireland say a proposed food hub in Mullingar is not one they can support through the Smart Regions Fund.
Enterprise Ireland will not be providing funding to a proposed food hub project for the Midlands.
Michael Ward, manager of the Mullingar Employment Action Group says it's disappointing they can not secure support through the Smart Regions Fund.
He says the proposed state-of-the-art facility in the town would have created local jobs and develop food and drink enterprises in the area.
