The public is being asked to decide the route for the new Athlone to Galway Greenway.
Five possible route corridors for have been selected, to link Athlone Castle to Oranmore.
The project team has committed to look at using State-owned land along rivers, canals and railway lines first, to avoid cutting through farms.
