People can attend in person on fill out an online survey.
The public are being asked for their opinions on future plans for an avenue in the midlands.
A consultation will be held on the Regeneration Masterplan for Canal Avenue in Mullingar.
The proposal so far includes ‘later living’ opportunities, an opportunity to deliver Nursing Home accommodation centrally within the site and a mix of urban house types to help diversify local housing provision including single person units, family homes and housing for the elderly.
David Jones, Director of Services, Westmeath County Council says:

the vision for the Canal Avenue Masterplan which is the result of a sustained period of community and
stakeholder engagement and progressive design process delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of
experts. This future vision for Canal Avenue will deliver destination balanced by a vibrant new urban
living quarter that will transform and futureproof this area of Mullingar.”
The consultation will take place On Thursday the 20th, from 3 to 7, in Westmeath County Council Offices, alternatively people can have their say in an online survey here.
