The Congress Energy Sector Group says the region needs to be prioritised.

The Congress Energy Sector Group is expressing concern that hundreds of workers are still on lay-off in Bord na Móna.

It's calling for the employment of workers in the Midlands to be prioritised to ensure they get quality jobs.

The union's welcoming the publication of the Just Transition Commissioner's interim report to retrain staff.

Irish Congress of Trade Unions spokesperson, Macdara Doyle says these workers need more help:
