It's led to calls for proper enforcement of EU regulations to ensure animals are treated with respect.

That's the reaction of IFA South Leinster Regional Chairperson, Francie Gorman following revelations of animal cruelty at cattle marts was aired on Prime Time Investigates programme.
The programme also highlights a recent sharp increase in baby calves being delivered for slaughter to meat processing plants in Ireland.
Mr Gorman says dairy farmers had it tough until recent years, but something has to be done to address welfare concerns:
