Record Crowd Attends Day Two Of Ploughing

It was the largest number of visitors in the event's 91 year history.

Today marks the final day of the Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, County Laois.

Yesterday saw the largest crowd in the event’s 91 year history, with 115,500 people onsite. 

The world ploughing championships will also come to a close later,  with two Irish ploughmen - John Whelan and Eamonn Treacy - in the running.

Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, Denis Nulty is leading a competition to find Ireland's favourite hymn at the Ploughing.

The final choices will go head to head today:
