The cost of a home in the midlands has increased by over 13% in the last 12 months.
While a new report from Daft.ie shows house prices across the country rose by 11.6%.
A series of recent reports are underlining a surge in the cost of a home in Offaly in the last few weeks and months.
The average price of any house on the market in the county is now €280,000 - that's an 18.2% increase on 12 months previous.
While the cost has jumped 5.5% in just three months.
The price inflation in Laois and Westmeath is less severe but still considerable.
The year on year change in Laois is 13.7%, with an increase of 4.5% in the last quarter.
While in Westmeath the figure is up 13.8% over the course of the year, and up 3% in the last three months.
The lack of supply across the country is being pointed at by industry experts.
In late 2022, there were almost 4,900 second-hand homes on the market. But by the start of 2025, that had fallen to just over €2,500.
