Weight loss drugs along with botox and tanning products have been discovered in the midlands.
Over 600 detections of illegal weight loss drugs, along with unknown botox and tanning products have been seized in the Midlands and Dublin in a single operation this year.
Revenue officers say its operations up to May 31st resulted in the seizure of almost 11,000 individual weight loss shipments.
That represents a massive increase on the total for last year, which was about 2,300.
Revenue is urging people to beware of medical products sourced on social media, as they may not be regulated, effective or even safe to use.
