Revenue officers have seized Ketamine, MDMA, and cocaine found in a premises in a midlands town today.
As a result of 'risk profiling', an examination of parcels at a premises in Athlone led to the discovery of the drugs which were destined for an address in Dublin.
Just under 2 kilos of ketamine, 313 grams of MDMA tablets, 118 grams of MDMA powder, and 31 grams of cocaine were found.
The drugs have an estimated street value of €146,000.
Revenue officers seized 210 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €4.2 million at Dublin Port today.
The illicit drugs were discovered concealed in large steel containers within three pallets originating from Germany and were destined for an address in Dublin.
In a separate operation today at Dublin Port, Revenue officers seized approximately 10 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €200,000.
The discovery was made when Revenue officers stopped and searched a vehicle which had arrived from the United Kingdom.
A man in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act), 1996 at a Garda Station in Dublin. Investigations are ongoing.
Finally, also yesterday in another standalone operation, as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog James, Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Dublin seized over 9 kgs of cannabis resin with an estimated value of €54,000.
The illegal drugs were discovered in a parcel which had originated in Spain and were destined for an address in Dublin. Investigations are ongoing.
