Road conditions in rural Laois towns are causing damage to cars, according to a Local Election Candidate in the county.
Fine Gael's Paddy Buggy says patching potholes in towns, such as Rosenallis, Clonaslee and Ballyfin, and seeing them washed out by rain is costing money and having little effect.
He says full road resurfacing works would last for the next 10 to 15 years rather than short term solutions.
