The midlands will fall under a Status Yellow Low Temperature and Ice Warning from this evening.
The Road Safety Authority's advising road users to prepare for cold weather conditions.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature and Ice warning, which will be valid from 6pm this evening.
The midlands, as well as most of the country, will be impacted by the alert, which will be in effect until noon tomorrow.
It says temperatures could fall below minus three degrees, and frost and ice will lead to hazardous travelling conditions.
