RTB Figures Show Annual Increase Of Over 10% For New Tenancy Rates In Offaly

The Residential Tenancies Board figures also show eviction notices were up 41% at the end of 2025.

Eviction notices increased by 41% at the end of last year, compared to the same period in 2024.


Residential Tenancies Board figures show over 5,200 notices of termination were issued in the final three months of 2025, with most due to the landlord's plans to sell the property. 


The data also shows the average rent for new tenancies has risen by more than 5% to €1,776 euro - €282 more than the average for existing agreements. 


Offaly, Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Limerick, and Sligo recorded annual increases of more than 10% for new tenancies' rents.
