Irish Rural Link want better transport options for rural Ireland.
Irish Rural Link is echoing calls from Social Justice Ireland to improve public transport options for people living in rural Ireland.
The think-tank has released a report this morning showing how people in the lowest income bracket are "disproportionately impacted by cost of living increases."
The group says these rural households depend very heavily on their cars to access basics like work and school.
CEO of Irish Rural Link, Offaly's Seamus Boland says public transport can fill the gap as services disappear from rural Ireland:
However Mr Boland suggests rural people can't currently plan their days around public transport because it's so unreliable:
Sinn Fein say people are being forced into using their cars more because the rural transport network isn't up to scratch right now.
