Services Won't Be Cut In 2021 Bridge Gap In Laois County Council Finances

The local authority insists services won't be compromised.

Laois County Council insists services will not be cut in 2021 to claw back extra spending from this year.

Over €7 million was paid out in Restart Grants for businesses, while €6 million was used to waive commercial rates.

Income from parking was down by nearly a half. 

Fine Gael councillor and leas cathaoirleach Conor Bergin says there'll be a focus on housing in 2021, despite the the drop in finances:
