Setback On National Broadband Plan Isn't A Cause For Concern

That's the view of a former communications minister.

Progress on parts of the National Broadband Plan slowed recently due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. 

300 broadband connection points are due to be built in community locations, such as halls and GAA clubs, by the end of the year. 

But according to freedom of information files, work on 22 of them slowed during the lockdown.

Former communications minister Roscommon/Galway TD Denis Naughten says the setback isn't a cause of concern and 56 are now installed:
