The co-owner of a midlands nursing home says it was "devastating" having to close their doors.
Claire McNally, who ran the Stella Maris Nursing home with her sister, says running costs became an insurmountable problem for the business.
Heating bills for the home increased by over 100 per cent but fees charged to those staying in the facility remained the same.
Ms. McNally spent her working life in the family business and says telling those staying in the home they have to leave was extremely upsetting.
