Stability In Social Welfare Services Key For Westmeath Town

A Sinn Fein Candidate in Meat West is making it a priority.

A Meath-West candidate is pledging to end uncertainty surrounding services in a Westmeath town.

The social welfare building in Castlepollard is operating on a yearly contract basis - with the next nearest office between 20 and 30kms away. 

Sinn Fein's Johnny Guirke believes stability in local facilities should be a priority following this election.  

He says any closure would make this difficult for the local community who need the service:
