Groups around the country have been calling for the reinstatement of the 9% VAT rate for the hospitality sector.
The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment says it’s important the retail and hospitality sectors are supported in the next Budget.
Budget 2025 will be announced on the 1st of October with many calls for the reinstatement of the 9% VAT rate.

It follows calls from Retail Excellence Ireland for the State to invest heavily in the retail and hospitality sector.
In partnership with the new umbrella group, SME Alliance, it says it wants to see some of the Apple windfall tax to be put back into the economy.
