The very first Supermacs opened its doors in 1978 on Main Street, Ballinasloe.
Supermac’s has been shortlisted for six awards at the Spider Awards 2026, Ireland’s longest-running digital awards programme.
The nominations recognise excellence across digital creativity, brand engagement and innovation.
The fast-food chain restaurant has been shortlisted for their app, best brand, best storyteller, best social media, and two influencer campaign awards.
Supermac’s owner, Ballinasloe’s Pat McDonagh founded the company in 1978.

The winners will be announced at the Spider Awards ceremony on the 13th of March 2026 at The Mansion House, Dublin.
