A Westmeath man is pleading guilty to attacking his ex-girlfriends car with a hammer and a rock.
26 year old Adam Kearney from Moate Road, Ballymore in Westmeath smashed the front and back windows of his former partner’s car at Carraig Oir, Moate, Westmeath, during the early hours of May 25, 2024.
The Irish Independent is reporting the incident took place 1am and 3am and Mr Kearney made a full admission to causing damage worth around a thousand euro when providing a voluntary caution statement to investigating officers.
Mr Kearney was also charged with dangerous driving following a road traffic collision some six months later when his grey 07-registered BMW rear-ended another motorist at Junction 6, along the M6 at Clara, Offaly on November 20, 2024.
Judge Bernadette Owens directed a full probation report and remanded him on bail to appear back before a sitting of Athlone District Court on May 13.
