Owner of Supermac's Pat McDonagh has confirmed it'll be called the Portlaoise Plaza, as previously announced.
A photo of a sign with the changed name appeared on the site, causing a stir on social media over the weekend.
However Mr. McDonagh has revealed that it was all an elaborate prank:
