Taoiseach Micheal Martin will be a no-show at Sunday's event.
The Taoiseach and the Agriculture Minister will not attend the Tullamore Show this year.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin had to cancel his appearance and now Tanaiste Simon Harris will officially open the show on Sunday.
Agriculture Minister Martin Heydon will also be absent but junior ministers Noel Grealish and Michael Healy Rae will be there.
The event, at Butterfield Estate, attracts up to 60,000 people from around the country annually.
