Taoiseach Opens First Energy Grid Stabilisation System In Offaly

BESS is a joint venture between Lumcloon Energy and South Korea's Hanwha Group.

The country's first energy grid stabilisation system is being opened today by the Taoiseach in Offaly.

BESS stationed in Shannonbridge is a project of Lumcloon Energy in partnership with South Korea's Hanwha Group.

The condenser and battery energy storage system runs at 63 megawatts and can export 20 megawatts for 8 hours, which will improve Ireland's energy security.
