The Office of Public Works is delighted to announce a number of events taking place at OPW locations nationwide to celebrate St. Brigid. From tours to demonstrations there is something for all to enjoy.
These tours are part of an exciting initiative to make heritage sites accessible to all. Visitors can enjoy a unique experience led by expert guides and accompanied by an ISL interpreter, highlighting the rich history and hidden gems at these historical locations.
Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, and Athlone's Kevin “Boxer” Moran T.D. stated, "We are delighted to offer these accessible tours at OPW locations across the country. Ensuring that all visitors can enjoy and participate in our cultural heritage is a priority and we are committed to expanding the availability of ISL interpreted tours at OPW heritage sites nationwide."
The tours will run from March right through until September and are offered free of charge, however spaces are limited. Visitors are advised to contact the site and book in advance to avoid disappointment.
