The Offaly man saved the trip of these tourists.
An American tourist is paying tribute to an Offaly man who helped them out of a tricky situation.
Diane Glaub's tyre was 'shredded' while driving from Dublin to Galway, leaving the rear wheel destroyed.
Luckily, Herman, from Condron Concrete Works in Tullamore, saw what happened and came to their rescue, and changed their tyre.
He also assisted the tourists in calling their rental company.
Ms. Glaub says he also denied an offer of payment from her, and said 'this is what people from Ireland do.'
She also says the kindness of the 'gentleman' will never be forgotten.
