Three midlands dealerships have been rewarded for their promotion of electric vehicles.
Joe Mallon Motors in Portlaoise, Fitzpatrick's Hyundai in Tullamore and the O'Brien Motor Group in Westmeath were all crowned as winners in their counties.
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and Zero Vehicle Emissions Ireland distributed the awards.
In total, 134 car dealerships from 23 counties participated in the awards, up from 124 dealerships in 2023.
Commenting on the announcement, Declan Meally, Director of Business, Public Sector and Transport at SEAI says:
"It is great to see a significant increase not only in EV sales, but in participation in the 2024 awards.
SEAI recognises that car dealerships and their staff are a key enabler of EV uptake and is delighted to reward excellence in the field."
