The incident happened on Athlone's Church Street in the early hours of February 1st.
A Westmeath husband, and father of nine, along with his wife, and their adult son became embroiled in a violent row which led to their arrest after the family had celebrated a their wedding anniversary earlier this year.
Athlone District Court heard 48 year old Jayson Bertles of Iona Villas in Athlone ended up swinging punches at members of his own family on Church Street during the early hours of February 1st.
Mr Bertles is a former carer, who became highly aggressive after words were exchanged with someone else leaving a local nightclub, according to the Irish Independent.
The accused punched and kicked a garda van, which led to his arrest.
His 23 year old son Joshua of the same residence was restrained by six gardaí when he saw his father arrested.
His mother 45 year old Maggie Bertles from Ionas Villas Athlone then started shouting and roaring in the faces of Gardaí.
She refused an order to leave the area and began pulling at gardaí while attempting to kick officers who were arresting her son.
All three submitted early guilty pleas for the charges against them.
Their defence solicitor pointed the early plea, to the high level of inebriation, and that all three of his clients were remorseful.
Jayson Bertles was remanded on bail in advance of a restorative justice report alongside a €300 payment to south Westmeath Hospice.
His wife was similarly remanded and ordered to hand in €300 to Athlone Meals on Wheels, if she does so her charges will likely be struck out.
While Joshua Bertles has handed €350 to Athlone Looking Forward Project.
