A campaign to have Christmas lights stay on around the region is gathering pace.
Towns and villages around the midlands are being encouraged to keep their Christmas lights up.
Tullamore, Abbeyleix, Crinkle, Delvin and many others have committed to doing so.
Westmeath councillor Emily Wallace says it's a small gesture to maintain some light and hope during the Level 5 lockdown.
She's asking Mullingar Chamber and others to consider the move:
