Walk-in vaccination centres are opening across the midlands this weekend.
From Friday, anyone over the age of 16 can attend locations in Portlaoise, Tullamore, Athlone and Mullingar to get their first shot of the vaccine.
You don't need an appointment, all that is required is a form of identification which proves your age to receive the jab this bank holiday weekend.

If you are not registered online, you will have to register at the vaccination centre and will need to bring the following information:
Personal Public Service (PPS) number, Eircode, Mobile phone number, Email address, Photo Identification (passport, drivers licence, garda age card, student/ school id etc).
What vaccine will you be offered: The mRNA vaccines are being offered at the dose 1 walk vaccination centres, Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
If you attend the walk-in-clinic for dose 1, the centre will send you an appointment for your second dose by text message to your phone.
