People are complaining that Uisce Éireann did not communicate the issue well with them.
Uisce Éireann are coming in for criticism for failing to communicate with a Laois community experiencing water outages.
A reservoir interruption has caused water outages to Mountmellick and surrounding areas in Laois.
Works were scheduled to take place from 9am until midnight yesterday, but some premises still do not have water.
However, Uisce Éireann says the issue has now been resolved, and households who do not have their water supply fully restored are being advised to contact the semi-state body.
Mountmellick Fianna Fail Councillor, Paddy Bracken, says he is disappointed in Uisce Éireann not giving due notice to locals:
