The money will be used to fund the company's market expansion.
A Westmeath energy management company has secured a massive €7 million investment.
The package comes from the EIIS Fund, and will be used to support Mullingar's Watt Footprint's market expansion and help to further develop its technology platform.
The company, which was established in 2020, is seeking to support other businesses on their path to zero carbon targets.
It's hoped the investment will help the Westmeath business fund international expansion into new markets, and is part of a three-year strategy.
Sinead Heaney, Director of BES Management DAC, the Manager of the Davy EIIS Fund and Partner at BDO Ireland says Watt Footprint has an innovative approach to energy management:
"We are thrilled to support their dynamic team as they embark on this next phase of growth and expansion.
This investment underscores our belief in their vision and our commitment to backing ambitious businesses that are shaping a more sustainable future."
Paul Mahon, CEO & Co-Founder of Watt Footprint says the partnership marks a significant step in the journey to realise their vision for the company:
"The investment will be fundamental in accelerating the next stages of launching our software platform to the Irish and international markets - a significant achievement for the company and marking an exciting future ahead."
