Westmeath Conservation Order Ends Monday - Uisce Eireann

The hosepipe ban has been in place since May.

Over 50,000 people in Westmeath will no longer be affected by a hosepipe ban from next week.

Uisce Eireann is lifting a a Water Conservation Order for the Mullingar Regional Water Supply on Monday for the town and its surrounding areas.

The order was implemented in May of this year after water levels in Lough Owel reached historically low levels.

The Kells-Oldcastle area in Meath and Milford in Donegal will also see their restrictions lift.

Uisce Eireann is thanking the public for their efforts, but is urging people to be sensible with their usage of water.
