Over 40 tenants at the site were issued notices to quit last month.
Westmeath County Council says it's supportive of the acquisition of part of a midlands apartment complex which saw over 40 tenants issued notices to quit last month.
As many as 47 tenants were told they must leave the Riverview site in Kilbeggan by July 12th in January.
The local authority says it's liaising with the owners of the complex and is supportive of an Approved Housing Body acquiring part of the site.
It also says it's working to find alternative accommodation for those affected.
