Westmeath Library Closing For Three Months

The library is closed today and will re-open until the 24th of October.

A library in the Westmeath is set to shut its doors to the public for three months.

The Aidan Heavey Library in Athlone will close from October 24th until January 19th to begin improvement works.

The development, when complete, will provide the public access outside normal hours through the 'My Open Library' initiative.

Service users will be able to borrow & return items, use the library's PC’s, and use study space.

The library will also be closed today due to some "initial enabling works" being carried out, and will remain open between October 2th and October 24th.
