Westmeath County Councill is approving new residential units at Millmount House.
Long awaited plans for a residential re-development at a derelict Westmeath house have been given the green light.
The planning application submitted on April 9 by Patrick Mulligan for Millmount House, Ballinderry Road/Ardmore Road, Mullingar, has been approved by Westmeath County Council.
The project was granted permission eight months after the application was lodged.
The development includes the demolition of an existing shed and a rear three-storey annexe, along with the construction of seven new residential units.
Plans provide for a two-storey terrace of three two-bed townhouses and the conversion into four apartments, supported by a new three-storey rear extension.
Associated works include car parking, landscaping, new entrances, and alterations to boundary walls, including a section listed on the Architectural Heritage Inventory.
