Gardaí are investigating the collision.
A woman in her 80s has died after being hit by a van in Carlow Town.
The incident happened in an enclosed private car-park in Presentation Place, College Street at about 4.30 yesterday evening.
She was taken to St. Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny with serious injuries, and has since passed away.
The van driver was uninjured.
A technical examination of the scene has been conducted and Gardaí are investigating the matter.
