The woman was brought to Tullamore Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 80s died in a crash in the midlands.

The pensioner passed away after a single vehicle crash in Edgeworthstown, Longford.

The incident took place yesterday afternoon shortly after twenty to five on the N4 at Lisnagrish.

She was taken to Tullamore Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Anyone with any information of dashcam footage is being asked to contact Granard Garda station.
