Yellow Rainfall Warning Extended In The Midlands

It's now also in effect in Westmeath.

A status yellow rainfall warning for the midlands has been extended.

The alert is now also in place for Westmeath, along with the rest of Leinster and Munster.

Met Éireann says rivers may burst their banks in southern counties after heavy downpours over the past few days.

Rhode's Cathal Nolan, from Ireland's Weather Channel, says the warning will remain in place until 6 o'clock tomorrow morning:
