Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred last Wednesday afternoon.
Gardaí are investigating a collision which left a young boy hospitalised in Offaly.
The incident occurred in the Toberleheen area of Tullamore last Wednesday at around 3.15pm.
The boy was taken to hospital for treatment of what's believed to be non-serious injuries.
The vehicle involved in the collision did not stop at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident, especially those who may have camera or dashcam footage, to come forward.
