The midlanders won the inaugural Women's President's Cup on Saturday when they retrieved a two goal deficit to beat Shelbourne on penalties.
Chloe Singleton joined from Galway in the off-season as Athlone's top scorer Emily Corbett moved on to Wexford Youths.
Singleton and one of last season's best young midfielders, Muireann Devaney combined to great effect during the game.
