One of Laois' star players is departing to join Carlton in the AFLW this year.
Donie Brennan and the Laois footballers will have to contend the All Ireland Senior Football Championship without one of their star players this year.
Erone Fitzpatrick has signed with Aussie rules club Carlton, and is set to join the team in May.
Fitzpatrick scored 4-15 in the O'Moore County's run to winning the All Ireland Intermediate title last season.
It's been a mixed bag for Laois in the Lidl National Football League this year so far, registering 3 wins and two defeats.
